Re: NEMS NMMB topic

Hi, I'm getting there slowly. Have just built ESMF for mpich2 and it completed without any errors (including the check). I now have esmf.mk so .... to the next step :-) I'm also trying the Intel compiler. However ESMF built itself with the gfortran. I don't think that this will be a problem with NEM...

Re: NEMS NMMB topic

No, I don't have that file. I thought that the build would generate it.
I'll try a different version.
Did you use gfortran or Intel compiler?

Thanks,
David

Re: NEMS NMMB topic

Hi Ivan, I'm stuck with the following message: conf/configure.nems:3: /home/david/NMMB/19677_libs/esmf_3_1_0rp5/lib/libO/Linux.gfortran.64.mpich2.default/esmf.mk: No such file or directory svn: E155007: '/home/david/NMMB/19677/src' is not a working copy gmake: *** No rule to make target `/home/david...

Re: Building NMMB

Hi, I'm keen to try out the NMMB as soon as possible. Do you know if it can be built for a stand-alone machine? The user documentation states: The NEMS-NMMB model can only be built for shared- and distributed-memory (OpenMP and MPI) environments. All required libraries are presently available on the...

Re: Warning: ieee_inexact is signaling FORTRAN STOP

Solution is apparently in hand. Robert offered the following change to two files. This will prevent such messages during a cron initiated autorun. Edit your $EMS_STRC/EMSutils/Eset.pm and Eenv.pm files and add the following: ...... $EMSenv{DW} = "$EMSenv{EMS_HOME}/domwiz"; $EMSenv{DW_BIN} = "$EMSenv...

Re: Warning: ieee_inexact is signaling FORTRAN STOP

Hi meteoadriatic,

I could do that but then I would not be getting any error messages by email. I really need to suppress these specific error messages as they can be ignored. Perhaps some fancy grep on the redirect would do the trick.

Thanks

Re: Warning: ieee_inexact is signaling FORTRAN STOP

Hi, My crontab includes such a line: /home/david/.profile; /home/david/taurus_cyprus_arw_wrapper.sh >/dev/null I set the PATH variable in the crontab. Also SHELL and MAILTO. In my wrapper bash script I call the ems autorun wrapper: /home/david/uems/strc/EMSbin/ems_autorun-wrapper.sh --rundir /home/d...

Warning: ieee_inexact is signaling FORTRAN STOP

Hello all, I have started running UEMS v15 in auto mode and the crontab process emails me the following stderr message: Warning: ieee_inexact is signaling FORTRAN STOP Warning: ieee_inexact is signaling FORTRAN STOP ... This happens 5-8 times in the runs. Does anyone know if these warnings actually ...

Re: Is this hardware enough?

Hi Icana, I have a closely similar machine to yours: 2 x AMD Opteron 6276 with 8 physical cores each (16 threads each), 64 GB memory 500 GB SSD. I tried the domain you suggested and it does seem a bit on the heavy side for the suggested machine (see namelist.wps below). There are > 200 x 200 cells f...

Re: UEMS and WRF-EMS

Hi, I think that the main issue preventing use of uems and wrfems in the same user space would be a serious conflict of environment settings. You would need to manually load the environment set for the particular version you are about to use if both are installed in the same user space. I have a tes...
