Yes, same here, they are not available. I have my wrfems set up to use full GFS if ptiles fail but this is very large download then. The only person who can tell us about what is going on is Robert Rozumalski.

Yes full GFS grib are 55 MB each one!
Does ncep.noaa.gov or other servers support download of GFS geographic tiles?

No news unfortunately, you should contact Robert Rozumalski, he is the only person that can answer questions about emsdata servers. I can only wait and see if they will become available again... :(

Tonight, my ems system finally got the tiles from soostrc (http connection). But the connection is very slow and the previous servers such as emsdata2 reported either "download errors" or "file not available". It took 30min to establish a connection... Maybe it will be more reliable tomorrow.

You can't use ecmwf realtime forecast gribs if you aren't associated with official meteo office in your country. And still, I don't think they support anything like ptiles.

I think that some nomads servers support ptiles, but I never tried that. You might google fot that little bit.

What means " associated with official meteo office in your country"?

Seems that the only stabile solution is to download NOAA-s gribs at the first place. With ordinary download speed it takes cca 3 hrs....
