Gippox, your wrf is very nice and powerful, why do not you also for the central-ARW? PS: You should only change the temperature range of 2 meters and is gorgeous;-), my humble opinion.

Thank you Dominic :) , maybe in the future i also put the maps for the South of Italy, i would like to have the whole Italy at 4 km, although it is quite expensive from the computational point of view ...
Regarding the temperature scale what range do you suggest? Wider?

It looks OK snow cover like this, I don't know about that percentage, I will need to look into my output to compare. I don't think this is problem because I saw your temperatures over sea are also little bit lower than from my run. I guess you have something that biases your temperatures in 3dvar, you will see if you make a run without it and then compare.

Parlo Italiano con il permesso degli altri. Hai ragione, infatti a me un run core arw 4km sul centrosud dal Molise fino alla Sicilia si prende 1 ora per lo step di 24 ore. C'è da dire che non ho precompilato wrfems con il compilatore intel (come hai fatto tu), ma mi sono affidato a fare solo qualche modifica superficiale seguendo i consigli su questo forum. A te quanto impiega per effettuare un run sul nord italia con lo step di 24 ore?

Per la scala secondo me bisognerebbe ispirarsi tipo al lam del meteogiornale, oppure a quello di meteoriccione.

Gippox, I can see that you have data in weasdsfc variable. This should be amount of snowfall like apcpsfc is for total precipitation. I think. But my weasdsfc is always empty. Do you know why? I use UPP 2.1 compiled myself, like you do?

BTW colors are very easy to control in GrADS, which part you don't understand? :)
